It’s already been a fantastic summer for The Hill, and there has been so much enthusiasm for building digital health projects from frontline healthcare staff, patients and others.

We’d now like to invite you to our penultimate event of the summer on Thursday 1st September, in the Tingewick Foyer of the John Radcliffe Hospital. In the next step of the journey, where we are going to be focusing on “Funding Opportunities to progress your digital product”

The Hill is Oxford’s new digital healthcare ideas lab situated at the heart of Oxford’s medical, academic, digital and entrepreneurial communities, catalysing a generation of globally impactful healthcare innovation. It is open to patients, carers, nurses, doctors, healthcare professionals, designers, developers, researchers, business leaders and investors. Whether you are in ‘the system’ or feel like you are currently outside of it, it’s the place to come for support and inspiration in solving the big healthcare challenges of the day, using digital technology.

‘The Hill 4’ will be on Thursday 1st September in the Tingewick Foyer, again in the John Radcliffe Hospital.

What will be happening?

  • 1. Project support: This event will present an opportunity for those with ideas to get help in moving them through the digital innovation pathway from prototyping through development to funding and adoption into the NHS.

If you told us about your idea already we will have reviewed it and start to help you to navigate through the process.

  • 2. Speed Dating: People with digital health ideas will have the chance to meet people with expertise in different areas of digital health skills, to be able to network, ask questions and potentially build collaborations.
  • 3. Speakers: People looking for inspiration can hear about digital innovations from our speakers:
    • Presentation on “Funding Early Stage Digital Health”
    • Abel Perez Crespillo (Head of Information Technology, The George Institute for Global Health, University of Oxford)
    • Further Speaker TBC to speak on funding opportunities
  • 4. Project Showcases:There will be a number of digital health projects displaying at this event to provide successful examples of projects that have progressed through the system.
